Before reading this book I had always been interested in mythology but found it to be quite impenetrable. A lot of mythology was written in a rather dry tone and wasn't that fun to read but the contents were fascinating. With this book and it's sequels, Steven Fry manages to retell myths to be both informative, fun and interesting. This and Sources/Troy are probably my favourites of the series, but they are all great.
